RV Camping at Mount Hood / Timberline
Highway 26 to Government Camp and Timberline. Ski season, summer alpine trails, and length-aware mountain campgrounds.
About Mount Hood / Timberline
Mount Hood is ninety minutes when traffic cooperates. Timberline Lodge is a day stop for most RV travelers, not an overnight for a 40-foot diesel on the lodge apron. Government Camp is the village. Ski season means chains, overnight lot rules, and early Saturday reservations. Summer means wildflowers, Mirror Lake crowds, and forest campgrounds with generator manners. Trillium Lake and nearby Forest Service sites fill on clear weekends. Delivery up 26 is a mountain-grade job. Happy Valley and Gresham are common metro staging points if you want to leave early.
