The Gorge is Portland's weekday escape and summer crowd magnet. Multnomah Falls sits on the Historic Highway, and parking for a Class A is not the same job as a sedan turnout. Ainsworth, Memaloose, and Viento are the campground conversation. Length limits and summer gate timing are real. Troutdale and Gresham are where we stage if you want the rig close without fighting waterfall lots at 10 a.m. Winter ice closes parts of the Historic Highway. Summer weekends need Recreation.gov or state park reservations months ahead. This is waterfall country with river wind, not a desert floor.
