About Crater Lake Weekend

Crater Lake is beautiful and far. From Portland you are looking at four and a half to five and a half hours depending on I-5 traffic and whether Rim Drive is open. That is a weekend framing, not a Saturday morning impulse. Mazama Village and Lost Creek are the camping conversation when snow is off the rim. Winter visits are snowpark energy, often without RV-friendly overnight options at the rim. Book the park and the rig together. Fuel, tire chains in shoulder season, and a realistic arrival window matter more than a brochure paragraph. We will not sell this as ninety minutes from downtown.
